Attain the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) Credential today!

The GCDF Credential is an internationally recognized certification for professionals serving in a variety of occupations related to career development support and facilitation in both public and private sector organisations. To achieve the certification, a candidate must complete the 120 hour NCDA CDF curriculum taught by an NCDA registered Career Development Facilitator Instructor.

The 120-hour Career Development Facilitator (CDF) course is offered in a convenient format to suit the varying needs and schedules of participants. This includes hands-on deliberate practice, self-study to enhance domain knowledge, Independent research/study project to deepen mastery and 5 days of face-to-face sessions spread over 3 months, as follows: 

  1. Level 1 : Career Facilitation Skills (2 days)

  2. Level 2 : Delivering Career Services Effectively (2 days)

  3. Level 3 : Project Presentation for Certification (1 day)
    *Application for GCDF (subject to education and experience requirements)

Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) certification is provided through the Center for Credentialing and Education, Inc. (CCE), a subsidiary of the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC). Through Personal Mastery Resources, you are well placed to earn both the credentials of CDF and GCDF. The certification is recognized in a growing number of countries across the globe and the number of certified GCDFs is increasing rapidly in many areas.

Comprehend and use both formal and informal career development assessments with emphasis on relating appropriate ones to the population served.

  1. Career and Labour Market Information and Resources

Understand labour market and occupational information and trends. Be able to use current resources.

  1. Career Development Technology

Comprehend and use career development computer applications.

  1. Employability Skills

Know job search strategies/techniques, especially in working with specific groups.

  1. Training Clients and Peers

Prepare and develop materials for training programs and presentations.

  1. Program Management/Implementation

Understand career development programs and their implementation, and work as a liaison in collaborative relationships.

  1. Promotion and Public Relations

Market and promote career development programs with staff and supervisors.


GCDF Requirements


To apply for the GCDF Credential after your CDF Certification, you need to meet the combined work experience and educational levels as follows:
